Today Show:

Almost every morning as I was growing up, my mom would have the Today Show on the TV in the house. I actually love watching the Today Show because of the different types of news they portray on the show. Not only is there updates on politics and the government, but they have life hacks, fashion, concerts, and most importantly they have a dog on the show. This show gives a wide variety of information, so it is enjoyable for many different people.

New York Times:

Although I do not check the New York Times regularly, I believe it is a very reliable news source and I do plan on checking it more often. I grew up reading the New York Times with my grandparents because they wanted me to be aware of some of the things going on in the world. I think the New York Times is a reliable news source, especially for anything related to the government since it shows both political views. The website is also organized by categories, so it makes it easier for people to find what type of news they are looking for.

Twitter:

Twitter has been one of the most convenient ways to get my news, since I can check it whenever I am on my phone. It is always updated with the latest that is going on, and shows what is trending around the world. I think it is an easy way to get a quick update on if there is something political, social, or even something funny that happened on TV. Twitter has so many different viewpoints on events, that it can give you enough information to fully understand what is going on in the world.

InStyle Magazine:

I came upon this magazine after the shooting in Parkland happened, and many schools across the country were planning a walkout. A reporter from InStyle contacted me about it since I was organizing a walkout at my high school, and featured me in an article. Ever since then I have checked the website about once a week to update myself on news. Even though the news is mostly about fashion and celebrities, it is still interesting to be updated on different aspects in life.

CNN:

I first started using this website in 7th grade, when my history teacher made us do a current event assignment every week. Although it seemed annoying at the time, I realize now how aware it made me of the world and what was going on. Most of the articles on the website are politically based but there are also entertaining topics about travel, sports, and events that are happening around the world. I check CNN a little more now that I am in college, and it is harder to see the news on TV and be updated on what is going on in the world.
